Ron Miller, Composer

 

Ron Miller is a San Francisco Bay area composer and arranger. He studied music history and composition at UC Santa Barbara, where he received
his PhD in 1992.
  He served as conductor of the UCSB Wind Ensemble in the early 1980s, and more recently, for a short while, conductor of the
UC Santa Cruz wind ensemble.
  He has performed with the Peninsula Symphony as clarinetist since 1987, and was composer-in-residence with
the Peninsula Youth Orchestra from 1999 to 2020.
  His compositions and arrangements are regularly performed by community orchestras; High
School and College Wind Ensembles and Jazz Ensembles; and a variety of chamber groups, including
  the Allegro Saxophone Quartet
(now the Allegro-Peninsula Saxophone Quartet),
of which he is a founding member.
